Springwood is the second largest town in the Blue Mountains and is a popular destination among tourists.
The town's annual celebration, Foundation Day, occurs in late March to early April. Springwood is also the site of a notable ANZAC Day Parade. The Blue Mountains Vietnam Veterans' Association conducts the largest annual parade and Memorial Service for Vietnam veterans in Australia at Springwood, on the third Sunday of August, to coincide with the anniversary of the Battle of Long Tan. Another attractions is the Valley Heights Locomotive Depot Heritage Museum which is the home of the oldest remaining roundhouse in New South Wales, located 500 metres from the eastern Springwood town boundary.
Springwood also has number of fantastic accommodation for business and leisure travellers including budget motels, hotels, holiday apartments and lodges.
